Press conference of #IS2016
On the 21st April in Strasbourg, took place the press conference of the Internationaux de Strasbourg to announce all the novelties for this 30th Anniversary.
Many announcements were made , as the announcement of headliners players , animations or eco-friendly actions.
Regarding the headliners, there is a very high level for the participant. 12 players are currently in the Top 50 at the WTA ranking, and former winners of the tournament ( Alizé Cornet and Monica Puig).
Caroline Wozniacki (former world n°1 and currently n°18), Sloane Stephens (n°25), Sam Stosur (former n°4 and winner of the US Open 2011), Caroline Garcia (n°44 and finalist at the Fed Cup) and many others like : Alizé Cornet , Yanina Wickmayer.
Samantha Stosur the winner of the Internationaux de Strasbourg in 2015 will try to win again and to get ready for Roland Garros, a week after the Internationaux de Strasbourg.
The tournament will also this year be eco-friendly , as always with several operations to use as clean as possible. Operations such as the promotion of car pooling or reductions for people coming to tournament with public transport (CTS / SNCF), recycling of old balls and the creation of art-work from tennis equipment to be exposed at the #IS2016.
The cuisine will be in the earth of the Internationaux de Strasbourg with the presence of many chefs and quality products.
Regarding the entertainment, this year Internationaux de Strasbourg are strong, animation in Roppenheim (Saturday 30th ) and Kleber Place (7th May) and also activities in aisles and stands while the tournament is running, for a unique experience for spectators.
In summary, this press conference was full of announcement and especially full of surprises …
