A spectacular FINAL
The Strasbourg audience was on fire, on the central court, the ticketing was full and an impressive atmosphere was felt among the spectators.
In the women's doubles final, Australia's team, Daria GAVRILOVA and Ellen PEREZ won in two sets, 6/4 - 6/3 against the Chinese team of Xinyun HAN and Yingying DUAN. Despite the first set won by the Australian women, the Chinese did not let them down and tried to level the score from the beginning of the second set.
The women's singles final left us with a lot of suspense. While Dayana YASTREMSKA led 6/4 then 5/3 (40/15) in the first set against Caroline GARCIA, the Frenchwoman made a comeback by winning the second set out of a score of 7 games to 5. The matches were tight in the 3rd set and the last points had to be played with a tie-break. After 2h58 of hard exchanges, it was finally Dayana YASTREMSKA who won the victory.
Final results : 6/4 - 5/7 - 7/6(3).
