For this sixth day of the #IS19 with the sun, many spectators went to the tournament to enjoy the entertainment and the matches. The day ended with the Afterwork in the VIP area.
the ReSULTs
Amazing! Two Frenchmen qualified for the semi-finals. Chloé Paquet, in great shape, achieved her best performance on a WTA circuit by reaching the IS19 1/2 finals! She won her place in the semi-finals thanks to her match against Daria Gavrilova (6/3-7/6). She will play against Caroline Garcia who also qualified. The French No. 1 managed to turn the situation around against Marta Kostyuk by levelling in the second set, finishing with a final score of 3/6-6/3-6/2.
Dayana Yastremska and Aryna Sabalenka will face each other in tomorrow's semi-final. The young Ukrainian woman redoubled her efforts in her match against Fiona Ferro, leading from the first set 6/1 and 6/3 in the second set. She will play against Aryna Sabalenka, world No. 11 and No. 1 seed who won against Monica Puig, the Olympic champion.
ANIMATIONS
A signing session of Chloé Paquet was organized on the Karanta stand. The fan zone was full of people, young and old alike were also able to enjoy an introduction to the padel.
