RESULTS
For this first day of qualification, the tournament started under the sun of Strasbourg. 3 Frenchmen were in the running for this beginning of the qualifications. Emeline Dartron, winner of the pre-qualification tournament, won her first match at the Internationaux de Strasbourg against Evita Ramirez (6/0 - 6/1), which enabled her to qualify for the second round. Diane Parry, the 17-year-old French girl, also qualified after her match against Sesil Karatantcheva. On the other hand, Audrey Albié lost to Diana Marcinkevica.
Germany's Laura Siegemund, former world No. 27 also qualified for the rest of the tournament thanks to her victory over Andrea Gamiz (6/0-6/1). After a 2h23 game, Jaqueline Cristian emerged victorious against Abbie Myers (6/7-6/4-3/6).

ANIMATION
The tournament was well punctuated for Caroline Garcia between the draw, the live facebook, the exchanges on the Fan Zone and the signing sessions. The Romanian Mihaela Burzarnescu was also present on the fan zone to play with the children. The sun was shining and then the rain came at the end of the last few games.
